Meet the WiRL associates

Kristen Brown
Kristen Brown is an Associate Director in CBRE’s Healthcare Advisory Services team, specialising in elderly care, specialist care, and senior living. With over a decade of real estate experience, she advises clients on feasibility studies, due diligence, strategic planning, and market analysis. Since joining CBRE in 2019, Kristen has been a key contributor to the healthcare real estate sector, building on prior experience at PwC New York. She actively mentors through CBRE’s Women’s Network and Bridging Barriers, and is a member of Black Women in Real Estate. Kristen is passionate about inclusion and a valued asset to Women in Retirement Living.

Lucia Briant
Lucia is Marketing Manager for Richmond Villages, part of Bupa, where she has looked after marketing operations for their group of 10 IRCs throughout the UK. Previously, Lucia worked across a variety of industries in creative roles for 17 years, across TV Production, Branded Content and for an award-winning female led Estate Agency, Philippa Sole, cementing her love for both property and storytelling.

Ledijana Gashi
Ledijana is an in-house solicitor currently working for LifeCare Residences, a New Zealand family-owned Integrated Retirement Community Operator. She’s passionate about contributing to an organisation that promotes dignity and wellbeing in later life and values the opportunity to support teams in a way that’s thoughtful and aligned with shared goals. She’s especially committed to creating space for others to thrive and helping build a workplace where everyone feels heard and supported.

Carlene Goodearl
Carlene began her career as a construction site manager while studying law, later joining Midas as their youngest and only female site manager at 22, leading multi-million-pound projects. She won a Silver Considerate Constructors Scheme award for mentoring young women and promoting construction careers in schools. At Anchor, she held senior roles across construction, technical, and commercial teams, delivering and contracting over 800 homes. Now at Rangeford Villages, she oversees construction across multiple retirement living developments. Carlene is a WISH South East board member and WIRL ambassador, leading mentoring initiatives and championing women in construction with passion and dedication.

Amy Kelleher
Amy is an Operations Executive and EA at Knight Frank, supporting the Senior Living team since 2017.
Amy is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the team as well as providing EA support to Tom Scaife, Head of Senior Living at Knight Frank.

Sarina Kiayani
Sarina Kiayani helps to run WiRL's Social Media channels. She is Policy and External Affairs Manager at ARCO, the national membership body for charitable and private operators of Integrated Retirement Communities (IRCs). A key aspect of her role is raising awareness of the IRC model through external communications to the media, and on social media. Sarina has a strong interest in improving housing provision for all generations and has discussed this in both broadcast and print media. She previously worked in communications agencies, which provided her first introduction to the retirement living sector.

Ali Powell
Ali is an award-winning commercial consultant in the later living and hospitality sectors. She is highly skilled at increasing sales velocity and IRR through identifying sales and marketing opportunities and implementing fixes to drive significant revenue uplifts. She has 30 years’ experience working on the operator, developer and investor side in world-leading brands. She runs her own consultancy, Commercial Acceleration where she works on boosting occupancy through optimising sales, marketing and the customer journey. Commercial Acceleration won Best Senior Living Consultancy - UK 2023.

Becca Stuart-Jack
Becca is a Marketing Assistant at PRP Architects, where she supports the practice’s London, Manchester, and Wroclaw studios. After earning her MA in Marketing in 2023, she began her career within PRP’s Later Living team and continues to work closely with them, alongside a broader role spanning marketing, PR, communications, and events. As an Associate at WiRL, Becca brings her communication skills to support the organisation’s Events, Communications, and PR functions. She is passionate about inclusive storytelling and committed to ensuring that underrepresented groups within the built environment are visible, empowered, and valued.
