Membership

WiRL aims to promote diversity, gender equality, and social mobility across the wider retirement living sector. We look at what the sector can do better to support, retain, and recruit women, while taking an intersectional approach, being conscious of the variety of elements of identity that are less privileged by society (e.g., with regards to race, sexual identity and orientation, age, disability, religion/belief). We believe we can do this better with a strong membership and partners who share our goals.

Our members offer include:

  1. Networking and events: Deliver a calendar of informative, insightful, and entertaining events – enabling you as our member to benefit from being a part of our unique networking community and to strengthen and expand your own professional networks.

  2. Education and knowledge sharing information and insights to support career progression wherever you are in the sector – aiming to empower you to know your worth, grow your skills, and feel confidant to apply for positions with greater impact and rewards.

  3. Mentoring and support: Peer-to-peer support at our knowledge sharing and networking events, and through our mentoring programme to help you accomplish your personal goals and to remain and thrive within the sector.

We offer a range of membership options allowing you to join as an individual or though an organisation membership so you, and your colleagues, can benefit from membership.


Our primary target group is women working in the sector, whatever their role or experience, who want to create strong networks, learn from others' experiences and knowledge and support other women.

 

Allies (people not from underrepresented groups) are invited to participate via the Ally individual membership and can participate in select events and themselves become a mentor. This membership has limited spaces available and is exclusive available to people keen to support WiRL’s mission and values.

Partnership opportunities are available for organisations interested in sponsoring events or getting involved in other ways. For any partnership interests, please get in touch.
